busy days ahead!
i foresee really busy days ahead of me with piano examination, h3 physics examination and takewondo competition coming up ahead of me. i know i have no time to waste but i just couldn't help wasting time. like coming online to talk crap and blogging rubbish like what i am doing now. okay this is not rubbish, do read on.
i got selected into taekwondo competition as an individual participant! at first didn't want to even want to take the selection test but in the end i thought no harm trying. thanks to yushu for his help on improving my stunts i miraculously got selected to join the competition. perhaps this is the time i can contribute most to hc tkd. so decided to put in my best effort for the competition although i am just an average or perhaps below average member in taekwondo.
next is piano examination. I DON'T WANT TO FAIL MY GRADE 6 PIANO PRACTICAL EXAMINATION YET AGAIN! it would really be a waste of time and money if i fail again. however i should have been practising instead of blogging!
ntu h3 physics course is driving me mad. i haven't hand in three experiment reports which are long overdue. and the final examination is drawing closer everyday with me not understanding 80% of what is thought so far. all my term tests are super screwed so i just hope that i can at least do well enough for the final examination to at least get an overall pass.
of course, there is always my most feared NAPFA test to worry about. i created an historical moment for myself last wednesday when i actually PASSED 2.4KM RUN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY WHOLE LIFE. yes unbelievable as it may seem i didn't pass my 2.4km run since secondary one although my pe teachers back in rv kept giving me re-tests and "pe rememdial". my timing was 12.19 sec, passing by 10 seconds. the irony is that it is just a TRIAL test. hope i can pass during the real test next week...but i would still fail NAPFA anyway because i wouldn't ever pass standing board jump. haven't jumped beyond 200cm before in my life. maximum distance i have ever achieved was 198cm.
guess i gonna go back to practise my piano pieces...

the black parade
was listening to the new single "i don't love you" off my chemical romance's latest album "the black parade" and have the sudden urge to blog about this fantastic album and of course introduce this really beautiful sad song.
heard the entire album and thought that most of the songs in the album are rather emotional and centres around the theme of death. i just found out from wikipedia that "the black parade" is a concept album centering on a character known as "The Patient," who, dying of cancer, looks back on his life from a jaded perspective. The words "black" and "parade" made you think of death but also celebration. that make the album sound like a celebration of life and death.

thanks to all for a very special birthday!
birthday for me ever since primary school has always been a simple event of cutting a cake and occasionally inviting some cousins over to my house fo a simple celebration. this year's was probably the most memorable birthday i have ever had, all thanks to my family and my wonderful friends.
last tuesday my mom bought a mango cake for me and invited my third aunt coreena and cousin bryan over for a simple cake cutting session. this family celebration happened one day before my birthday because i won tickets to the premiere of "The Reaping" on 987 FM which was on that night of my birthday. the movie was a huge disappointment by the way. shall elaborate later.

aunt coreena gave me this "magic ball" which isn't very magical haha. apparently my aunt told me that my uncle was super fascinated by the ball that he bought home 10 over of those magic balls and stood looking at the "magic ball" at the shop for a long time.
this is how it works. actually it simple contain a triangular "floating" dice that gives 20 different common answers such as "yes" and "no" such that it claims that it can actually gives "answers" to your questions and what you are thinking in your mind that time. sort of like the sorcerer's stone. the first question i thought of was "will i pass my napfa test?" and i got this answer from the "magic ball": "outlook not so good" sigh.

went to school the next day expecting my class to sing me a birthday song and the birthday gift from the class, which is sort of like the standard birthday celebration our class would have on one's birthday. however, my class didn't sing me a birthday song that morning after morning assembly so i thought they had forgetten and would do so later.
never did i expect after math tutorial they gave me this huge surprise by playing this powerpoint presentation that michelle, jiangchuang and a whole lot of others have made especially for me for my birthday. i was super shock when i saw the compilation of random videos and hilarious pictures of myself that we took during last year when we felt sian in school. it was like one of the best gift i have received. michelle told me how much effort they had put in into making the presentation. yes michelle the friend who seem to be "chronically irritated" with me as how she put it. due to their tech-unsavvvyness they had to find ways and means to download videos from mingming's xiaoling's jupiter's dorea's and whole lot of other's handphones and then painstakingly convert them to the format which can be played on windows media player and powerpoint presentation. i was super touched when i saw the video on miss huang's laptop that i cried uncontrollably. cannot imagine the amount of work they had put into this and of course sacrificing precious time which could be spent on cca or tutorials. thanks to this group of friends man! will remember them for life...best bunch of people i have ever met :).
below is the end product and three screen-shots off the presentation. it is titled "MEAN GUY" because they knew that i used to craze over "MEAN GIRLS" and like to imitate the bimbotic antics off the movie HAHAHA. even the cover was sincerely designed but they have troubles printing it out so in the end i got this temporary cover which was written by michelle (haha i could tell her "type-writter" handwriting).

after which jupiter junjie and dorea handed me this pail of bears that they made with their own hands! so now i finally know why jun jie had always refused to let me see his handphone and why they had been mysteriously not around after school when i tried to find them. really appreciate their effort especially from jupiter who always "strangle" me, scold me and ask me to stop singing. i think most of the time i am asking for it for being so irritating but i couldn't help not singing espcially when i heard my favourite song on 987 FM so sorry!!! i would try to control myself next time. then feel really guilty for blaming dorea when i found out that they were sort of lying to me when they said they are going to "make cake" after school when actually they had gone to michelle's house to make these cute bears. really appreciate it! thanks a million pals! :)

mingming yeowlin yuani and rongkang (though he was too lazy to write in the birthday card and asked mingming to help him do so haha) for the cool bottle and the "musical" birthday card in which they had recorded a birthday song for me haha. unfortunately the battery went flat after a few consecutive pressing to play the song. thanks!
was quite surprise when my "bus friend" (haha because know him through taking bus 67 to and back from school everyday) knew about my birthday and came to pass me a cute turtle. thanks! now the turtle that billy found on the floor in school and gave to me during promotional examination next year finally found a "partner" haha.

thanks to all those (yuan jun, serene, cindy, huiqing, gwendolyn, billy bomber, jiaxu, bernie, sylvia, francis, angel-cum-senior heidi, peck yan, weekiat, jonathan (they sexy big thing! haha), shirlene, aaron, chuanhan and idol zhiyong...sorry if i missed out anyone) who remembered and smsed me with their birthday wishes. especially angie, who smsed me right after her 5 hour long operation to adjust her jawline. hope she would get well soon man! :) of course not forgetting others who wished me happy birthday including liu pu, big bro jeremy, monica and stellicia for the ear-to-mouth whisper-ish birthday song and all the taekwondo members including black master jiawei, pro bro yushu, spartan shenyang, quannie, GAObin, kenneth and johnny! haha what a string of weird names! luckily they didn't "bond" me like what they had said phew.
after taekwondo rushed down to marina square to catch the reaping with shaohsien junjie and dorea. the movie has got crappy script, special effects and plot. the only saviour is probably hilary swank but even so she alone isn't enough to salvage the really terrible movie. "A film that's a chain of disaster chintz masquerading as a sermon" as how yahoo movies has put it. felt like leaving the theatre halfway LOL luckily the movie was short only about one and a half hours.
after that shaohsien accompanied me home on bus 190 while dorea and junjie went home via mrt. thanks shaohsien for purposely taking 190 with me though he could have taken 171 to save me from the boring bus trip home haha.
all in all, thanks to all for a very special birthday! :)
